“Circle of Grace” was conceived by Santa Barbara television director, photographer John Behring [dir. Law & Order, FBI International] as a way to celebrate the courage and creative tenacity of Grace Fisher. John’s still photography is exhibited at the Fine Line Gallery in the La Cumbre mall where the Grace Fisher Foundation’s Creative Arts Clubhouse is a neighbor. The concept sprang from a performance by the State Street Ballet at the gallery’s monthly 3rd Friday open house. John was inspired to create a short film that brings ballet out of the formal setting of the stage and into the real world. He aimed to merge this concept with Grace as the central figure in a story that explores her vivid imagination.

The narrative follows Grace as she creates one of her iconic paintings, featuring her original orchestral score. “Circle of Grace” was created entirely pro bono by well over 100 gracious filmmakers, artists, friends and corporations who volunteered their time, talent and resources to the making of the film. The concept was presented in early February to Grace and the board and tonight we are delighted to present the world premiere of “Circle of Grace” accompanied by a live orchestra performing her composition. We invite you to step inside the “Circle of Grace” with those of us who love Grace and celebrate her amazing talent and the many gifts she brings into the world. -John Behring Director of “Circle of Grace”
